Allow the top 50% to 75% of the soil to dry out before watering again. Stick your finger in the soil; if it feels dry and dusty, it’s time. Avoid "wet feet" by ensuring the pot has drainage holes.

Monstera loves bright, filtered sun. Too much direct afternoon sun can scorch the leaves, while too little light will result in smaller leaves without those iconic holes (fenestrations).
